Paladin Promotion Quests
Level 12
Starts with Noellene in Falconwing Square with Summons from Knight-Lord Bloodvalor. He sends you off to light a brazier, and you then have to kill a lvl 12 (Stillblade) and return to SMC. Then you are sent to the Enclave to find Magister Astalor Bloodsworn. He instructs you to fill a vessel with the power that is lingering there and then take it to the inn (it's the nearest one). Go upstairs and use it to rezz Stillblade.
This gives you your rezz spell Redemption, which is a must-have.
Level 20
(At this level you can learn to summon your warhorse from the trainers.)
The Second Trial starts with Knight-Lord Bloodvalor. He sends you to Master Kelerun Bloodmourn, just north of the ruined side of SMC. You fight four Champions and go back to the city, where Bloodvalor will teach you Sense Undead.
Now you have to get four items from various places, including instances. Check Praudi's comments here.
On your return, you gain the rank of Adept and the Ranseur. (You may request to be promoted in the guild to reflect this.)
Level 40
You can now learn to Summon Charger without a quest at level 40. Since it's so easy (and not associated with a change in rank in-game), I don't see much reason to create a guild rank to mark this.
Level 60
This is the big one - where you get your tabard!
I'm not going to attempt to summarise here. Go to the bottom of this page to get a good summary.
Once you have the tabard, have PvP'd for the Champion's Redoubt set, equipped some suitable weapons to go with it and found a Knight (or a Master) to vouch for you, you will finally be welcome to the ranks of the Blood Knights!
